SELUX Corp., in Highland, NY, nestled in the heart of Ulster County in the Hudson Valley, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong, 3D Modeling experience. Previous engineering experience with sheet metal fabrication designing in a manufacturing environment is a must; previous experience designing lighting fixtures, is ideal.
Must be able to produce 3D modeling, preferably with Solid Works, or similar 3D modeling program, to create and design commercial, architecturally designed, lighting fixtures, for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 7-10 years of product design engineering and leading an engineering.
• Strong project management skills; able to drive new product development from conception to design, marketing, purchasing and manufacturing.
• Excellent skills in creating and designing lighting fixtures, to include Solar and LED fixtures.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to critical deadlines, while ensuring that accurate design details are adhered to through manufacturing.
• Previous experience supervising a mechanical engineering team is a plus. Must be able to corral the entire team, to ensure all deadlines of multiple, varying projects are met with precision.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
